If you couldn't tell by the ambiguous Bill Cosby reference, I had a dentist appointment today. I was a little apprehensive of the obviously green hygienist. At least he was very polite.

While the decorating isn't complete, at least I can check the crib off the To-Do list.

Well, I know there isn't technically an exam to get into Mensa, but if there were one, this would be the section to fear.

We had our last childbirth class tonight (as evidenced by the diploma I am presenting) and knew it was time to get going on the nursery. With Pammy gone, we gave away the guest bed and I dismantled the desk and it (surprisingly) fit under the bed. Now the fun part of getting the baby's room ready.

 Had some team building at a bowling alley in Anaheim after a long day of meetings. I actually broke 100...

25:1-25-11 (Pamma Jamma....Fin)

Here is Pamela making my wish of having a taller person than me give me a good hug....she's so thoughtful. This also was me saying goodbye as Holly was on her way to drop her off at the airport.

24:1-24-11 (Chick-Fil-YAAH!)

 

So...yeah, there's very little in life that excites me more than a trip to the master of all things Pollo...Chick-fil-a. 

23:1-23-11 (There's always money in the banana stand)

What a dreamy morning of sleeping in WAAY too late (after 10AM)... left and went to Balboa Island and was able to witness a beautiful sunset. Finished up the night at Nick & Ashley's (+Coco) place playing Outburst.

22:1-22-11 (Griffith Park & Creepy Michael)

We had some great weather today (minus some smog) and had the opportunity to show Pammy around a bit. This is the view from the Griffith Park Observatory.

21:1-21-11 (WWW?......Who Wants Waffles?)

Thank the maker it's Friday. Had a fruitful week at work, and rewarded ourselves with Gourmet Waffle sandwiches at Bruxië and saw No Strings Attached with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher.

20:1-20-11 (Rush Hour)

Had a long day at work and got home too late for dinner. Holly and I were running out of the door to Childbirth class stuffing out faces with PB&J.

19:1-19-11 (Settling in for Game Night)

Holly and I had an OB appointment in the morning then Holly and Pammy had a nice day at the mall. We wrapped up the night getting our butts kicked by Holly playing Settlers of Catan.

18:1-18-11 (Now it's time....to say goodbye...)

The weekend was much too short, we were sad to see them make their way home.

17:1-17-11 (Having a Good Time...Knott!)

Joshua had his day at Legoland the day prior, so the adults had an opportunity to play at Knott's Berry Farm.

Shhhh...be very quiet, it isn't often you catch a glimpse of this species, the Photoga-Obsessa shown here was caught while spending the day at Lego Land.

15:1-15-11 (Just off the Boat)

Holly's dad, Tina and Joshua arrived and we all celebrated with a cold one (Joshua didn't partake in the beer). They had just completed their Mexican cruise and were able to get a few more days to stay with us in sunny SoCal.

Flowers are inappropriate for a Non-iversary (in case you were wondering). Today marks 8 years as a couple and we celebrated by learning our first breathing technique at our birth class.

12:1-12-11 (Getting a pedi...atrician that is)

We went to meet a pediatrician today with a book full of questions and met one that had a good answer for all of them. Haven't made a full decision, but we are happy with the candidate.

11:1-11-11 (Pamma Jamma Time!)

Pamela showed up for her 2 week visit in between moonlighting in Hawaii and Alaska.

10:1-10-11 (The light of day)

It's finally to the point in the season where it is still daylight when I leave the office. (And beautiful weather to boot)

9:1-9-11 (Lazy Sunday)

Wrapped up a lazy Sunday watching one of the only movies in existence dealing head on with infertility...all the while maintaining that Rowan Atkinson humor. While the plot of Maybe Baby was a bit lacking, it was quite accurate.

8:1-8-11 (Movie Day)

Showed up for a free movie screening and wasn't selected, but we were stubborn and just stood around until they gave us a movie pass to go away. The King's Speech was a great movie and we highly recommend it.

7:1-7-11 (Wigs 'n Balloons)

Had a fun evening celebrating the 30th birthday of a friend and her twin. The balloon artist was amazing and could make pretty much anything on the fly.

6:1-6-11 (We have normality)

After the holiday season it is a good feeling to get back into the swing of our normal routine, eating dinner together and going for a stroll afterward is a great way to end the day.

5:1-5-11 (Favors for fun)

Spent a vast majority of the day scanning and editing old photos of a friend and her twin sister for their 30th birthday. Their mom approached and asked me for some help which, of course, I obliged. The theme I gave their slideshow was 'The road thus far' and I took this picture tonight to use as the final frame in the video.

4:1-4-11 (The learnin' begins)

We went to our first baby class tonight, this one was the 'Child Birth Options' class given by PacifiCord. Pretty informational and it kept me interested/entertained. As you can see from our baby book collection, we're all about learnin'

3:1-3-11 (Shopping)

A day off from my day job just leaves more time for my volunteer one....life. This one was full of shopping, shopping, shopping.

2:1-2-11 (Yankee Swap)

Trading and stealing, wheelin' and dealin' were the themes of the evening. We ended up with this wooden 3d version of 'Connect 4'.

1:1-1-11 (And it Begins)

We kicked off the year with a swank celebration where PJs were the required wardrobe.
